International recording artist Spice released her first mixtape titled Captured, a twenty 20 song EP that showcases a variety of dancehall, reggae, & hip-hop tracks. She also released the video for single "Under Fire" off her mixtape through Vevo. The visuals highlight the leadership of her majesty queen Spice, from ladies hustling behind the scenes to dancing through rings of fire in the streets, all hail to the powers of her persuasion. "This was long coming. My fans been waiting for me to drop a project, I'm excited to have them walk through a journey of some many different ranges of Spice," she said.
Recently, Spice broke the internet with her recent picture looking light skinned. Did she bleach her skin? The story trended throughout the week on the web including on variety of media outlets including TMZ, Ballers Alert, the Shade Room, and _ABC New_s among others. After making a post on Instagram highlighting the new look of Spice, she received over one million views within minutes on her page. Before posting that new image, Spice went dark on social media for two weeks.
Fans initially thought her page was hacked and became concerned on Oct 22nd as the shocking debut of Spice’s light-skinned photo became the talk of the town. She capped the night with a victory lap hours later as new single “Black Hypocrisy” hit #1 on the reggae charts. Let's not forget the meaning behind Spice’s lesson on colorism and most controversial single off her mixtape. Some of her fans didn't understand the concept of her new look, the ones that did created the #blackhypocrisy challenge and it quickly trended. Most have called this a genius move!
